We’re remembering Levi Haul Jones, a 22-year-old from North Wales who was a ray of sunshine in so many lives. Tragically, Levi took his own life earlier in the year. Known for his infectious smile, love for fitness, music, and cooking, Levi lit up every room he entered, always managing to put a smile on everyone’s face.

Levi was found at his Wallasey home on 6th February. Friends last saw him a few days earlier when he seemed a bit down. Despite the challenges he faced, Levi’s warm personality drew people to him, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.

His mother, Suzie, shared touching words about her son: “He would put a smile on everybody’s face. You would never have thought he had mental health problems because he never showed anything. He was always on the go, fun-loving, and genuinely cared for those around him.”

Suzie made a heartfelt appeal for more awareness around mental health, especially for young men: “I just want people to reach out. I wouldn’t want anybody else to be in this situation as a parent. It’s important for everyone to know there are places to go for help.”

A GoFundMe launched in Levi’s memory has raised over £9,000 for mental health charities, a testament to how many lives he touched. One of his friends, Terri Williams, reminisced: “Levi was passionate about fitness, boxing, and living a healthy lifestyle. He was deeply loyal and kind to those close to him.”

Let’s honour Levi by continuing the conversation on mental health. It’s crucial to create safe spaces where everyone, especially men, can openly share their feelings. Levi, you will be deeply missed.

If you’re struggling, remember that help is always available: Samaritans, Childline, PAPYRUS, Mind Cymru, and other organisations are here to support you. You’re not alone. 💙
