🎱 Calling all snooker fans! Shaun Murphy has expressed a keen interest in hosting a potential revival of the iconic BBC show, Big Break! 🌟
Remember those Saturday nights glued to the telly in the 90s, enjoying Jim Davidson’s antics alongside the late, great John Virgo? Well, Murphy, a top snooker ace himself, is ready to step into those iconic hosting shoes if the show makes its much-anticipated comeback. 🎤
Sharing fond memories, Shaun recalls the thrill of appearing on Junior Big Break and remembered dressing up as John Virgo, complete with a fake beard, when he was just a youngster. The nostalgia is real! ☺️
Many other snooker stars are backing this idea too! Notably, the likes of Mark Selby, Barry Hawkins, and John Higgins are all on board for a revival. They see it as a fitting tribute to John’s legendary contribution to the sport, and a great way to inspire new fans. 🚀
Kyren Wilson shared how Big Break played a role in his snooker journey, reminiscing about spending Saturday nights tuned in to Virgo’s legendary potting advice. 🎯
Murphy isn’t alone in the potential hosting spotlight – he’s suggested other TV favourites like Paddy McGuinness and Vernon Kay as perfect co-hosts. But if the call comes, Shaun’s ready to say, “I’m in!” 📺
