πΆ Pub’s Live Music Plans Get the Green Light πΆ

Despite a wave of complaints from local residents, the Blue Bell in Conwy has been granted permission to host outdoor live music events. The decision, made by Conwy County Council, allows up to 15 events annually at the pub’s beer garden, complete with an outdoor bar.

Neighbours had expressed concerns over noise and disruption, with Ms Angharad Jones, living next door, describing the past years as “absolute hell” due to booming music day and night. However, supporters, including local musicians, argued that the current management has improved the venue with sound management efforts and enhanced security.
While the pub’s live music events have received official backing, conditions have been imposed: music must end by 8 PM and the outdoor bar close by 11 PM. The landlords, Sonia and Gary Cadwell, who have been at the helm since 2024, maintain a good relationship with local authorities, ensuring compliance.
The Blue Bell’s musical future is sealed, pending any appeals. What are your thoughts on live music in public spaces? Let us know! πΈπ€π
