🎯 Big news for darts fans! Gerwyn Price, our very own Welsh superstar, is set to swap his dartboard for a pool cue! Later this month, Price will make a splash at the 2026 UK Open Pool Championship. 🎱

The Iceman has been granted a wildcard entry to the prestigious tournament, happening at the Brentwood Centre from 26-31 May. This major event will feature over 250 competitors from more than 50 countries, battling it out for a whopping £167,500 prize fund.

Already a keen pool player, Price showed off his skills at last year’s Mosconi Cup. Now, he’s eager to bring that experience to the UK Open. He plans to juggle his pool commitments with qualifying for the Premier League Darts play-offs at The O2 in London, set for 28 May.

In his own words, Price is “in it to win it.” He’s confident about balancing both sports, telling Sky Sports, “I’ll take it with both hands and give it a crack. They’re good players, but I’m there to win.”
The PDC has given Price the green light to dive into pool, confirming players are free to participate in non-darts events outside their regular commitments. But if there’s a clash, Price is clear—darts remains his “bread and butter.”
Will Gerwyn conquer the world of pool while keeping his darts game strong? Only time will tell, but we’ll be cheering him on every step of the way! 🤞
