Meet Rigas, the extraordinary rescue dog who proves beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder—or in this case, in the heart. This brave pooch lost both his eyes due to illness, but he’s captured hearts with his incredible spirit. Currently in Greece, Rigas is ready to find a loving home in the UK!
Despite his challenges, Rigas has blossomed into a gentle and affectionate dog. With his soft fur and calm nature, he’s an expert at navigating the world with trust, using his other senses to connect deeply with those around him.
His carers describe him as courageous, with an open heart full of love. Rigas may have lost his sight, but he embraces life with joy, eager to share his devotion with a special family. The only thing missing in his life now is a forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and adored.
Could you be the patient and compassionate owner Rigas needs? Blind dogs often form even deeper bonds with their humans and adapt remarkably well to their surroundings. Rigas is ready to travel overseas, so his forever home could be virtually anywhere!
His advocates urge us not to overlook his amazing potential just because of his disability. One supporter shared, “I have a blind dog from Romania and you’d never know she can’t see. She’s incredible. Rigas deserves the same chance.”
