🏉 Rugby Round-Up! 🏉
What an action-packed Bank Holiday Monday for rugby fans! First off, Ebbw Vale took sweet revenge on Newport in a nail-biting clash, winning 18-14. This victory sends them to an electrifying Super Rygbi Cymru final against Llandovery! 😉 The match was filled with drama as Ebbw Vale made a thrilling comeback, with full-back Dylan Edwards sealing the win with a last-minute try. Talk about a nail-biter!
Meanwhile, Dragons co-owner David Buttress didn’t hold back after his team narrowly missed out on an EPCR Challenge Cup final spot, losing to Montpellier 18-12. Taking to social media, he called for more support and hinted at his frustrations with the Welsh Rugby Union, urging them to “wake up” as his club looks ahead to a promising season. “Uppa Drags!” he encouraged fans, promising exciting times ahead.
In the world of English rugby, Bristol Bears CEO Tom Tainton found himself in the spotlight after claiming his remarks were misconstrued. At a recent sports conference, he compared the club’s strategic approach to that of a “marketing agency that plays rugby.” Although this stirred up quite the debate, he assures fans that the club’s primary focus is always on winning and community inspiration. 🐻
Rugby drama, thrilling victories, and passionate calls for unity – it’s never a dull moment in the world of rugby! Who else is excited for the upcoming finals? 🙌
