With her children grown and gone, Kath decided it was time for a new chapter. Along with her partner Stu, they ditched the conventional life, bought a 7.5m Mercedes Sprinter camper van, and hit the road—living on just £30 a day!
Their journey has taken them across two continents and 14 countries, from the scenic landscapes of Scotland to the sun-drenched Sahara Desert. Despite rising petrol costs and tricky road conditions, these explorers are driven by the thrill of adventure, meeting incredible people along the way.
One magical moment was in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. There, they lent a hand to a stranded local and, in return, were welcomed with open arms by his village—an experience forever etched in their hearts.
Living and working full-time on the road under the name “Vanavigation,” Kath and Stu have conquered countless obstacles. Whether facing avalanches in Albania or wild horses in the mountains, they embrace each challenge as part of their journey.
Fuel prices might be up, but that won’t stop them! They just drive a little slower, keeping their eyes on the horizon for their next adventure. From tagine dinners in remote Moroccan villages to waking up to stunning views in Greece, life in a campervan offers an endless array of unforgettable experiences.
