Get ready for an epic clash this Sunday as Ebbw Vale and Llandovery battle it out to be crowned the top team in Wales outside the professional scene! The Super Rygbi Cymru final is going down at Eugene Cross Park, and it’s set to be an unforgettable match. 🌟
Ebbw Vale, last year’s runner-up, secured their spot by toppling the reigning champs, Newport, in a nail-biting finish. Dylan Edwards was the hero of the day, with a last-second try sealing a dramatic 18-14 victory! Despite facing three yellow cards, the Steelmen powered through, proving their mettle. 💪
On the other side, Llandovery conquered Cardiff in an intense encounter, ending 30-22. Kian Abraham scored crucial tries, ensuring the Drovers set up a sequel of last season’s final, which they won. With stellar performances and strategic play, Llandovery showed they thrive as underdogs! 🏉
Both teams, with their sights set on the SRC Trophy, are bringing their A-game. Ebbw’s head coach, Jason Strange, praised the quality and hard work of both squads, while Llandovery’s Euros Evans is eager for another shot at glory.
