🎯 Darts Drama Alert: Gerwyn Price’s Health Woes Amid Career Shift! 🎱
Hey darts fans! 🎯 Our very own Gerwyn Price, the Welsh legend, has recently given us a bit of a scare with a health update. This comes right after he shook the sports world announcing his switch to compete in the 2026 UK Open Pool Championship. Yes, you heard it right—pool championship!
Price has had an impressive season, shining both on the floor and in the European Tour. But during a recent Premier League Darts match in Leeds, he faced a tough 6-2 defeat against fellow Welshman Jonny Clayton. This leaves him in a tight spot for the play-offs with just a few weeks to go. He’s currently sitting third with 21 points, but faces stiff competition from the likes of Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen.
Despite his recent switch to pool, Gerwyn is determined not to lose focus on his darts. “My focus is there, just health-wise I am not in a great place at the moment,” Price shared candidly. He’s hoping for better health and lots of luck to carry him through to the O2 Arena play-offs! 🍀
With the UK Open Pool Championship scheduled from May 26-31 and the potential clash with Premier League play-offs on May 28, we’re all waiting to see which path Gerwyn will take. But he’s keeping his options open and aiming to juggle both sports!
It’s a nail-biting time for him, but here’s hoping Gerwyn finds his rhythm and storms through both tournaments! 🎱✨
Keep cheering him on—let’s show him the support he needs! 🤞❤️
