A former teacher from Cardiff is facing serious allegations of historical sexual abuse. Four individuals have reported that they were sexually assaulted by Jeffrey Nicholls at St Aubyn’s School in Rottingdean, East Sussex, back in the 1990s. Now aged 73, Nicholls has been charged with several counts of indecent assault involving boys under the age of 14 and 16.

The school, which has since closed its doors, was where these alleged offences took place. Nicholls, who resides on Waterloo Road, has also been charged with making an indecent image of a child. He has been granted bail and is expected to appear before Brighton Magistrates’ Court on May 21st.

This case is a stark reminder of the importance of safeguarding in educational environments and vigilance in protecting young individuals from harm. We’ll be following the developments closely, so stay tuned for updates.
