🚨 Heartbreaking News from Mountain Ash 🚨
A devastating fire has left a family near Mountain Ash without a home, losing nearly everything but their lives. Lisa Owen, 55, along with her sons James and Dan, her 3-year-old grandson, and their beloved dog, managed to escape the blazing inferno that erupted on Saturday evening, but their house on Glamorgan Street has been left in ruins.
The home, a cherished family residence for nearly 50 years, held precious memories of Lisa’s late husband, making the loss even more tragic. The fire gutted the upstairs and attic, while the downstairs was drenched in efforts to extinguish the flames. Despite the swift response from the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and South Wales Police, the damage is extensive.
Currently, Lisa and her family are sheltering with relatives as they face the daunting challenge of finding emergency accommodation. It could take a year before they can even think about moving back. Thanks to incredible community support, a GoFundMe page is providing some relief, having already raised over £1,500 to help them start over.
