🚨 **Tragic Update from Newport: Trial Date Set** 🚨

In a heartbreaking case that’s gripped Newport, two men have been charged with the murder of teenagers Ta-Shay Canoville, 16, and Jaydon Bowyer, 19. Both young lads tragically lost their lives after a crash on Aberthaw Road, Alway, in the early hours of May 7.

The accused, Joshua Williams, 34, and Terell Case, 18, recently appeared at Cardiff Crown Court. They were there to confirm their details as the court proceeds with its next steps. The trial is tentatively set for 11 January 2027, though there’s a chance it could happen sooner if schedules allow.

Detective Superintendent Steven Maloney of Gwent Police has assured that both families are receiving support as investigations continue. He also expressed gratitude to the community for its backing during this sorrowful time. There will be a noticeable police presence in the area as enquiries proceed.
Our thoughts are with the families of Ta-Shay and Jaydon as they navigate this devastating period. Let’s come together as a community to show our support and hope for justice. 🌟
