☀️ Get ready, folks! Warmer days are on the horizon as the UK is set to welcome some sunshine by the end of May and into June. The Met Office predicts more settled weather coming our way, with temperatures possibly reaching slightly above average as we transition from spring to summer.

But hold your horses on any heatwave talk! Before we bask in the sun, we’ll face a spell of unsettled weather from May 17 to May 26, with cooler-than-average temps and likely rain showers. However, as we move towards the month’s end, expect high pressure to bring us drier and perhaps warmer days, especially in the south.

🔍 The ECMWF suggests a peak of 26°C around May 22, particularly south of London, with temps possibly hitting 23-24°C in parts of Wales, central England, and the east. Even though the Met Office remains cautious about long-range details, they hint at the possibility of “rather warm” weather by May 26.

Meanwhile, BBC foresees a drier and warmer spell from May 25 onwards. June appears to continue the mixed trend with rain and showers, but some dry spells and mild temperatures are also expected.
Keep those sunglasses handy and fingers crossed for some lovely weather! 🌡️🌞
