The Met Office is hinting at a shift in pressure that could bring us a dry spell and higher temperatures just in time for the May 25 long weekend and half-term break. While we might still see some rain or showers next week, an area of high pressure building from the south could deliver the summer vibes we’re all craving.

The BBC is on the same page with its forecast, suggesting the UK is likely to be “drier and warmer than normal” during this period. There is a chance temperatures could soar, with parts of Wales possibly reaching 23C or 24C. Meanwhile, our friends over at ECMWF are showing max possible temps of 26C around May 22, especially just south of London.
