🎥 Shocking New Court Footage 🎥

In an unexpected twist, video footage shown at Leeds Crown Court this week featured Rico Gedel, a man accused of murdering notorious paedophile Ian Watkins, expressing a peculiar desire… to do Sudoku!
Gedel, 25, along with Samuel Dodsworth, 44, are charged with Watkins’s murder, who was serving time for heinous crimes against children at HMP Wakefield. The video, recorded by prison officers, shows Gedel smiling after the attack and casually asking for Sudoku supplies.

He comments, “People die every day,” a remark drawing attention for its chilling nonchalance. Footage reveals Gedel describing his experience with prison officers searching for a makeshift knife that he purportedly used. The supposed weapon was eventually found wrapped in tape and hidden in a bin.
Court discussions unveiled that Gedel approached Watkins’s cell and stabbed him three times, later handing off the weapon to Dodsworth. Gedel’s surprising motivation? His desire to be transferred away from a wing hosting sex offenders. He rationalises the attack as an impulsive act of convenience as Watkins occupied the next-door cell.
Gedel shared conflicting emotions—partially wanting to kill Watkins, yet battling a reluctance. During the trial, he noted, “Sometimes what we are thinking is not what we intend to do.”
Both Gedel and Dodsworth deny the murder charges and possession of the makeshift knife. The trial is ongoing. Stay tuned for updates on this unfolding story.
