Big shake-up in UK sports broadcasting! 🎬 After 72 years, the BBC will no longer air highlights of the Commonwealth Games. Channel 5 swoops in, ready to bring you daily highlights from the 2026 Glasgow Games. 🏅 The change follows TNT Sports grabbing exclusive live broadcast rights.

Katie Sadleir from Commonwealth Sport is thrilled, saying this new partnership will bring fans even closer to the action with a fresh perspective. Plus, exciting news for the future of the Games, with India set for 2030 and interest soaring for 2034.

This isn’t the only switch-up in broadcast rights—ITV snapped up England’s Six Nations coverage, while the BBC retains focus on Scotland and Wales. And, from 2026, the iconic Boat Race moves to Channel 4, including special anniversaries in 2027 and 2029.

Despite stepping back in some areas, the BBC stays strong with rights to Wimbledon through 2027. 🎾 With Wales eyeing more success after their stellar medal haul in 2022, the Commonwealth Games promises to be a thrilling spectacle!
