🚨 Sketty Police Station Closes 🚨

The vibrant community of Sketty in Swansea sees a bit of change as its local police station has now closed. But don’t worry, this doesn’t mean a dip in safety or service!

South Wales Police have relocated the officers to nearby spots like Townhill, Mumbles, and Swansea city centre—they’re still just around the corner, ready to respond quickly and keep the community safe.
For over a decade, the station on Gower Road didn’t have a public front desk, so this shift is more of a tweak to operations. The building is already up for sale.
In this digital age, our officers are equipped with the latest mobile technology, meaning they can stay visible, accessible, and connected even more effectively. Sitting in an office is out; being in the heart of the community, supporting local folks, is in!
Chief Superintendent Stephen Jones assures that the closure won’t impact the police’s operational capabilities. “Our commitment to keeping communities safe remains as strong as ever,” he says. The goal is more time spent patrolling and less being tied down to a building.
Rest assured, folks in Sketty, your safety is at the forefront! Communities can rely on a seamless transition without any loss in response or service. 🏘️👮♂️
