Two masked intruders turned a family’s household nightmare into reality as they forced their way into a woman’s home, subjecting her to a terrifying ordeal while filming the attack on their mobile. Just as she was preparing for her night shift on February 6, 21-year-old duo Isaiah Foster and Abdul El-Kamh stormed into her Manchester home, demanding drugs and money. Armed with a claw hammer, they smashed their way in, breaking a kitchen window to gain entry.

Inside, chaos ensued. The terrified woman barricaded herself in her bedroom as her daughter and niece huddled in the bathroom, hearing their mother’s cries and screams. In harrowing footage shown in court, Foster and El-Kamh demanded valuables, cruelly taunting the woman as she was dragged to the floor and beaten.
The horror didn’t stop there. The woman suffered cuts and bruises, and the attack left her living in constant fear with her appetite and sleep severely affected. Meanwhile, she suffered the financial loss from both the property damage and missed work. Her daughter described the traumatic experience as “heartbreaking.”

Police soon arrived, prompting El-Kamh to claim: “I was forced to do it.” Foster defiantly told officers: “I’m going to make it difficult for you all.”
Both men have been sentenced – El-Kamh for 6 years and Foster for 8 years, with an extended licence for two. The judge labelled it a “home invasion” with lasting impacts.
Despite the trauma, the woman’s family hopes to move forward. This ordeal serves as a profound reminder of the emotional and physical scars left by such violent acts.
Let’s hope justice brings some comfort to the family as they begin to heal from this life-altering ordeal. Keep the conversations going and support local communities in standing up against violence.
