🌟 Exciting times for the Valleys! 🗳️ By-elections are coming to Treorchy and Dowlais & Pant in Merthyr Tydfil this June! These elections are to fill council seats vacated by councillors moving up to the Senedd.

In Treorchy, there’s a spot open after Plaid Cymru’s Sera Evans headed to the Senedd. If any election buzz is in your veins, mark your calendars for Thursday, June 25, as that’s when the elections take place if there’s a contest! Nomination papers need to be in by 4pm on Friday, May 29. Don’t miss the chance to have your say!

Over in Merthyr Tydfil, the Dowlais and Pant ward will also see a by-election. Thank David Hughes of Reform UK for this one – he’s left his council position for the Senedd too. Again, June 25 is the voting day, pending a contest, with the same deadline for nominations.
Worried about not being able to vote in person? Applications to vote by post must reach the electoral registration officer by 5pm on Wednesday, June 10. Prefer a proxy, or got an emergency? There are options to make sure your vote counts – just pay attention to those deadlines!
To all the locals gearing up for the by-elections, here’s your chance to make a difference in your community! Let us know – do you feel your council provides a good service? Drop your thoughts in the comments! 💬⬇️
