Exciting times for the Scarlets as they beef up their squad! 🏉✨ They’ve just signed powerhouse hooker George Roberts from the Dragons. George, originally from Wrexham, has been making waves with his impressive performances in the English Championship and during his stint with the Dragons. Now, he’s ready to anchor the Scarlets’ front row at Parc y Scarlets.

At 28, George brings bags of experience, having made over 100 appearances for Doncaster Knights, earning a reputation as a natural leader. He’s no stranger to the Scarlets, having had a loan spell where he showed his flair against Leinster in Dublin.
George is all set to battle it out with Wales international Ryan Elias, Irish hooker John McKee, and young guns Harry Thomas and Isaac Young for that coveted number two jersey. About his move, George is buzzing: “I’m hugely excited to join the Scarlets. The welcome I received was fantastic and the club’s ambition is infectious. Growing up in north Wales, the Scarlets have always been a club I’ve admired. I love competing and can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Interim director of rugby, Nigel Davies, couldn’t be happier: “George brings exactly the kind of energy and competitiveness we’re looking for. His technical skills and aggressive play are top-notch. It’s his professionalism and drive to improve that really excites us.”

And there’s more! The Scarlets are on a recruiting roll, having also nabbed the signatures of prop Corey Domachowski, second-row Harvey Cuckson, and are close to bringing All Blacks star Cullen Grace into the fold. The future looks bright for the Scarlets as they ramp up the competition and strengthen key positions. Who else is excited to see what this new squad will bring? 🔥🔥
