🚉 Heads up, travellers! This weekend, Cardiff’s trains are facing major disruptions due to essential rail improvements. Expect some serious delays as all lines through Cardiff Queen Street will be closed from Sunday, 24th May to Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May.

🚌 But don’t worry, there’ll be a range of rail replacement buses and service diversions to help you get around. Trains will still run from Treherbert, Aberdare, and Merthyr into Cardiff Central, but they’ll be taking the City Line route via Ninian Park. Make sure to plan your journey accordingly!

🔧 Over on the Severn Tunnel route, Network Rail is setting up a cutting-edge system to tackle corrosion and reduce maintenance needs. However, this means the railway between Newport and Bristol Parkway or Filton Abbey Wood will be closed from Saturday, 23rd May until Tuesday morning, 9th June, with alternative services available.

⚠️ Plus, if you’re travelling on the Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton or Hereford-Birmingham routes, be prepared for busy trains due to industrial action affecting these lines on Friday, 22nd May and Saturday, 23rd May. Transport for Wales services might feel the squeeze, but they’re adding extra capacity where possible.
🌡️ It’s also going to be a scorcher, so stay cool, keep hydrated, and check the latest travel info via the TfW website, app, or social media channels before setting off.
Stay safe and plan ahead! 🚀
