The M4 is predicted to be a jam hotspot, especially on Friday. The AA is forecasting a whopping 23.4 million car journeys across the UK. Expect bottlenecks, notably the stretch heading from London to Wales.

But it’s not just the roads! Significant rail delays are expected too. Transport for Wales advises passengers to check their travel plans as essential work will affect the Cardiff and valleys lines.

Heads up for anyone travelling through Cardiff Queen Street—the lines will be closed Sunday to Monday for essential improvements. Don’t worry, though! Rail replacement buses and alternate routes are on standby to keep your plans flowing.

Network Rail is also tackling upgrades in the Severn Tunnel to enhance future reliability. This means the railway between Newport and Bristol Parkway will be shut from Saturday onwards.

To add to the mix, a serious crash earlier today on the M4 near Bridgend caused a bit of chaos. Thankfully, no injuries reported and things are clearing up.

So whether you’re driving or hopping on a train, plan ahead, stay updated, and pack patience in your travel bag! Safe travels, everyone. 😊🚗🚋
