🌞 Wales is heating up, and we’re not just talking about the rugby! A sizzling forecast predicts temperatures soaring up to 30°C this week, with some parts potentially hitting a scorching 35°C. Could this be the hottest May day ever recorded? The Met Office seems to think so!

Over the weekend, the mercury climbed to 27.5°C in Cardiff and Llysdinam, making it the hottest day of the year so far. Even typically cooler spots like Aberdaron, Valley, and Aberporth saw unusually warm nights. But brace yourselves, because Monday and Tuesday might just turn up the heat even more, with highs of 31°C expected in south and mid Wales.

Curious when this heatwave will give us a breather? While the sweltering temperatures are set to ease slightly mid-week, things won’t cool down too much. Wednesday and Thursday could still see highs around 28°C, with Friday offering a bit more relief as temperatures dip to around 20°C.
Although cooler weather is on the horizon, the sun isn’t going anywhere just yet. The rest of the week promises warm days with a mix of sun and possible showers—maybe even a thunderstorm or two to spice things up!
By the weekend, temperatures are expected to settle around 21°C. Looking beyond, early next week might bring rain across parts of the country—perfect for those who’ve missed the cool drizzle.
Stay safe in the heat, keep hydrated, and make the most of this glorious weather! ☀️🌡️ #Heatwave #WalesWeather
