If you were hoping to cool off at the beloved seafront spot, you might have to make other plans for now. Swansea Council has temporarily shuttered the lido due to an issue with the flooring coming loose, causing the area to be taped off and drained. But don’t worry, you’ll still find the nearby grassy areas and play equipment open for fun in the sun. 🌿
A council spokesperson mentioned they’re working quickly to fix the issue and aim to refill the lido as soon as possible. Apologies for any hassle this might cause!
Just last month, the lido faced a setback when its steel sprinkler fountains were stolen, delaying its initial opening. Local police are still on the hunt for the culprits. Those with info are encouraged to reach out.
