A shocking road rage incident in Barry turned brutally violent, leaving one man seriously injured. What started as a traffic spat spiralled into chaos when Jack Saunders, Austin Germon, and Stuart Sutton took to the streets to confront Daniel Flynn after a traffic standstill on Barry Road.

Initially, the trio seemed keen to calm things down between Flynn and a delivery driver he’d confronted, but tensions skyrocketed. In court, it was revealed how attempts to pacify the situation devolved into an ugly street brawl. Flynn, 32, was subjected to a barrage of punches and kicks, before things took a more dangerous turn.
In a bid to fend off his attackers, Flynn drove recklessly, hitting Sutton in a move that Recorder Simon Stephenson described as “highly dangerous”. Sutton, 49, suffered serious injuries, including a punctured lung and damage to his spleen, after being struck by Flynn’s van.

Recorder Stephenson slammed the actions caught on CCTV, calling them “disgraceful”. He emphasised how such appalling behaviour starkly contrasts with the defendants’ usual character. The judge handed down suspended sentences, community service, and rehabilitation requirements for all involved. Flynn was also hit with a driving ban.
The intense footage showed bystanders urging calm and calling the police, capturing the shock and disbelief of those present. Though this violent outburst paints a grim scene, the court noted that it’s not reflective of the individuals’ usual demeanour.
With tempers soaring and tensions high, this incident serves as a powerful reminder of how quickly road rage can escalate. Let’s all focus on calm resolutions and safe driving. Stay safe, everyone! 🌟
