🌊 Exciting day at Porth Dafarch Beach on Anglesey! Beachgoers and locals were in for a surprise when an object resembling unexploded ordnance was discovered, prompting a rapid response from the police. The beloved beach, known for its stunning cove and water sports, was evacuated for a couple of hours as a precaution. But don’t worry, it’s all under control!

🚓 Police were swift to respond as a concerned passer-by raised the alarm. Despite the dramatic scene, the beach was declared low risk due to a few mysteries surrounding the object. As the tide moved in, the suspected explosive was submerged, adding to the suspense.

💥 Onlookers, including Adam Rossington of the popular Licence To Grill food van, kept a close watch. Adam even performed his own “kick test,” quickly realising the solid object was metal – but thankfully not an explosive! Locals suspect it might just be an ancient chunk of cast iron that once belonged to an old bollard or mooring post.
⏰ As the tide receded, the beach opened again by early evening. The Bomb Squad was expected early morning for further examination, travelling from hours away to ensure everyone’s safety. But it seems like the beach is clear and ready for a sunny weekend!
🍦 And speaking of weekends, Adam’s hoping for a rush on his delicious treats like the Fizz Bomb Sundae. So, fingers crossed for a safe and busy few days at Porth Dafarch!
