🎉 Exciting news for Swansea! 🎉 Beth Rowe has been elected as the new councillor for Fairwood after a successful by-election win for the Liberal Democrats, marking a triumph for “positive politics”!
Growing up in Killay and spending much of her time in Fairwood, Beth is deeply passionate about the area. Besides her political role, she works as a groom, owns four horses, and serves as the vice-chairwoman of the Gower Commons Safety Action Group. Her connection to the community is personal and heartfelt. 🐴
Beth, a mother of three, aims to tackle local issues head-on, with priorities including listening to constituents, tackling speeding, and preventing littering. She’s especially concerned about protecting livestock, highlighting the dangers of feeding animals which can lead them closer to roads. 🚗
The newly elected councillor is eager to work on committees dedicated to preserving the beautiful Gower landscape. Her dedication to the community shines through her commitment to maintaining the area’s charm for future generations. She’s grateful for the support she’s received and keen to make a difference. 🙌
Swansea Lib Dem leader, Cllr Chris Holley, expressed his delight in Beth’s win, describing her as a well-respected figure within the community. Her victory over the competition, including Labour and Reform UK, is seen as an important step in promoting a positive political change.
Congratulations, Beth! Here’s to a bright future for Fairwood and its residents. 🌟
