π Dramatic Rescue at Three Cliffs Bay! π

What was supposed to be a fun day at one of Wales’ most beautiful beaches turned into a scene of real-life heroics. During the busy Bank Holiday at Three Cliffs Bay, several beachgoers were caught off-guard by a strong rip current, leading to a heart-stopping moment for everyone present.

When a powerful current swept two children out to sea, RNLI lifeguards sprang into action. As they bravely navigated the water to save the children, they discovered even more people struggling further offshore. Talk about an intense afternoon!
In total, the lifeguard team, absolute legends in our book, rescued seven individuals. Among them was a man who had disappeared beneath the waves but was heroically brought back to safety. After the dramatic saves, one man was treated on the beach before being reunited with family.
This wasn’t the only incident during the busy week. Over at Aberavon Beach, lifeguards handled a fractured leg case and responded to several missing children alerts, proving just how demanding holiday seasons are for our incredible lifeguard teams.
A special shoutout to Vinny Vincent, Lead Lifeguard Supervisor, who said, “Everyone who entered the water that afternoon made it home safely.” We can’t thank these heroes enough!
Remember, as the air warms up, the sea stays chilly. If you find yourself in a tricky situation, Float To Live: tilt your head back, relax, move your hands and feet, and call for help when youβre ready.
Let’s keep our beaches safe and fun for everyone. If you see anyone in trouble out there, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. Stay safe, beach lovers! ποΈπ #BeachSafety #RNLIHeroes #ThankYouLifeguards
