🍔 Big news for burger lovers in Merthyr Tydfil! A new 24-hour Burger King could soon be opening its doors at Cyfarthfa Shopping Park, adding another tasty option for late-night cravings. The planning application is in, aiming to transform an overflow car park into a bustling drive-through and dine-in destination.
The plans boast a single-storey restaurant, complete with an outdoor seating area and bin store. Anticipating creating around 18 full-time-equivalent jobs, it’s set to mirror the successful model seen at the nearby McDonald’s.
Parking plans include changes to accommodate the drive-through lane and additional spots, reducing overall parking to 41 spaces and realigning trees and new greenery. Plus, keep an eye out for new bird boxes to add a touch of nature!
Deliveries are planned off-peak and waste management will be handled by a private contractor. So, whether you’re a fan of Whoppers or just enjoy a cheeky late-night snack run, this could be the perfect pit stop!
