A prompt response from both school staff and emergency services definitely put parents’ minds at ease. One mum shared, “I saw the ambulances and it was a bit worrying, but the school acted quickly and efficiently. The kids were just eating berries, we heard.”

There was a significant emergency response, including an air ambulance and a special hazardous team. Initially, it was reported that two kids were involved, but it turns out there were nine, according to East Midlands Ambulance Service. “We had quite the medical team on the scene,” a spokesperson confirmed.

Local councillor Jonathan Wheeler mentioned that locals were quite concerned seeing a swarm of ambulances at the school but felt reassured once they knew the children were only getting precautionary checks.

Kudos to Jesse Gray Primary’s quick action and here’s hoping we can all relax a bit after this mini adventure! 🍃🌳
