Megan, a powerhouse on two wheels, recently secured silver in the team pursuit at the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Hong Kong. Now, she’s ready to tackle the Nocturne, a key milestone in her journey toward the Commonwealth Games. “I’ve seen clips and pics, and it looks amazing! The crowd gets all the action without standing around all day!” enthused Megan.
The Nocturne track suits her sharp, explosive style perfectly, much preferred to road racing. Winning the national title in 2023 puts her in an exclusive club alongside cycling stars like Katie Archibald and Lizzie Deignan. With her eyes set on repeating this success and aiming for the Track World Championships in Shanghai – 2026 is shaping up to be quite the year!
But the biggest challenge? The Commonwealth Games, of course! Megan’s got her eyes on a medal in Glasgow, and with a strong Welsh representation in the GB squad, her team pursuit dreams could become reality. After missing out in Gold Coast and Birmingham, she’s determined to grab that elusive medal. “It only comes around every four years. Having my family there to celebrate would be amazing,” she shared.
