🚦 Heads up, Cardiff drivers! Major road closures are coming your way over five days in June and July. Get ready for some travel disruption as Blackweir Live takes over the city centre. 🎸🎤
Big acts like The Cure, Lewis Capaldi, Teddy Swims, and Pitbull will be hitting the stage at Bute Park. Expect road closures from 4pm to midnight on concert days. Here’s what to keep an eye on:
🛣️ **Road Closures:**
– Castle Street, from Westgate Street
– Duke Street & Kingsway
– North Road from Colum Road to Boulevard De Nantes
– Cowbridge Road East from Cathedral Road to Westgate Street
🚧 Access to parts of the Civic Centre will be controlled from 7am, affecting roads like King Edward VII Avenue and Museum Avenue.
🚖 Got a taxi? Use the Civic Centre by the National Museum for pick-up and drop-off—no stopping on North Road!
🚌 Buses and taxis will have limited access via key routes, ensuring everyone leaves the area safely post-concert. Extra carriages on trains to/from Cardiff will make your journey smoother! 🚆
📅 Event Schedule:
– **June 24**: The Cure
– **June 26**: Teddy Swims
– **June 30 & July 1**: Lewis Capaldi
– **July 4**: Pitbull
Cathays station will close at 10pm on event nights. Head to Cardiff Central or Cardiff Queen Street station instead, and expect a queuing system.
Plan ahead to enjoy the tunes without the hassle! 🎶🌃 #CardiffEvents #BlackweirLive #TravelAlert
