🚗 Heads up, future drivers! Big changes are here for those booking their driving tests. The DVSA has rolled out new rules to keep things fair and prevent learners from being taken advantage of by third-party companies.
Starting today, if you’ve got a test scheduled, you can only transfer it to one of the three nearest centres to your current booking location. No more hopping across the country for those last-minute changes! Plus, you’ve now got just two chances to reschedule your test instead of the previous six.
And from May, further changes include who can book and manage your test—it’s now exclusively up to the learner drivers themselves. Say goodbye to sneaky unofficial services that search for test slots for a fee; using these is now against the rules!
Beverley Warmington of the DVSA shared: “We’re cracking down on businesses that resell tests at crazy prices so learners have more control over their test experience.”
