🎉 Eddie Jones Speaks Out! 🎉

Rugby fans, you’ll want to hear this! Eddie Jones, the former England and current Japan coach, has finally broken his silence after being handed a six-week ban and fined for verbally abusing a referee during the U23s tour of Australia. The ban’s serious business, sidelining him from Japan’s upcoming matches against Hong Kong, the Maori All Blacks, and Italy.

But true to his cheeky nature, Jones opened with a joke, recalling how football’s Jose Mourinho famously sneaked into the dressing room hidden in a laundry basket. “I’m looking for a laundry basket,” he quipped—just joking, of course!
On a more serious note, Jones didn’t shy away from the issue. “I’d like to apologise for disrespecting the game of rugby,” he admitted. Expressing regret, he explained he was frustrated by decisions he felt were unfair against his young side in Australia. Despite the incident, Jones assures he’s focused on getting his team ready for the upcoming Italy clash.
Interestingly, while sidelined from domestic games too, Jones took the opportunity to do some community work abroad in Singapore, proving his passion for the game isn’t dampened by the ban!
Mark your calendars for 19th June when Japan’s prep for Italy kicks off. Eddie’s committed to ensuring they’re ready to hit the pitch running!
