Heartbreakingly, the newlywed couple, Adam and Tomas, have passed away just days apart, a mere month after celebrating their wedding. Adam Hencek, 23, died unexpectedly at their home in Ireland, and tragically, just days later, his husband Tomas Feuller, 25, also passed away.
Their love story took them from Slovakia to Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary, where they caught the community’s attention with their vibrant energy and joy. It’s a devastating loss felt by all who knew them.
In their honour, a GoFundMe campaign has been launched by Adam’s aunt, Mirka, to cover the costs of a joint funeral. The community has rallied in support, raising over €12,070 (£10,352) on the first day alone. Mirka expressed immense gratitude for everyone’s generosity, highlighting the deep compassion shown during such a tragic time.
Friends and former students are sharing heartfelt tributes. Josephine, a dear friend of Tomas, remembers him as “the brightest light on this earth” and believes he’ll be the “brightest star.” Meanwhile, Daisy Wn, who once had piano lessons with Adam, called him a “brilliant teacher and gentleman.”
The couple were laid to rest together, with services held at Condons Funeral Parlour in Clonmel, followed by a private cremation in Cork. Their story, a testament to their love and living life fully, has touched many and serves as a poignant reminder of the fleeting nature of life.
