Sad news for food lovers in Swansea – Slice, one of the city’s top dining spots, is closing its doors this October. Since opening in 2014, this gem has earned its spot in the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide, making it a must-visit for gourmet enthusiasts. Helmed by the talented chefs Chris Harris and Adam Bannister, Slice has been a beacon of culinary excellence and community spirit for nearly 13 years.

The decision comes as Chris prepares for heart surgery, which has prompted a change in their operations. They will continue to serve their exclusive tasting menu until their annual break on August 8, resuming on August 27. Unfortunately, the final farewell will be on October 25.

In a heartfelt message, the Slice team expressed immense gratitude for the loyal support from their patrons, sharing how proud they’ve been to serve the local community and create cherished memories along the way. While this chapter closes, they’ve hinted at exciting new plans that might just keep them connected to the community they love.
On a similar note, another beloved Swansea eatery, Truffle, is also undergoing changes as its owners plan to sell up to spend more family time.
Stay tuned for more details on what’s next for these culinary creatives. Until then, let’s cherish the last few months of Slice’s magic! 🍽️✨
