🏉 Exciting rugby updates! France embarks on a new chapter without Shaun Edwards, as the former Wales defence coach is notably absent from their squad. With 9 players from Bordeaux-Bègles joining, the team is prepping for a warm-up match against England’s XV before the Nations Championship. Edwards’ exit is stirring up talks due to his deep knowledge of French tactics and players.
On the other side of the channel, Henry Pollock is turning heads! After a stellar performance for Northampton, he’s a strong candidate to start for England against South Africa this summer. Former player Andy Goode is singing his praises, comparing him to New Zealand’s Ardie Savea. Despite facing criticism last month, Pollock’s recent show of maturity and impressive stats have been a beacon of promise.
Meanwhile, the Wales Women’s team is seeing signs of improvement despite a tough Six Nations run. Coach Tyrone Holmes acknowledges the challenge but is optimistic about their progress. He highlights their defensive achievements and the areas they’re focused on enhancing.
Rugby fans, what do you think of these latest developments? Is France’s squad ready to tackle the upcoming games, and will Pollock secure his spot in England’s lineup? Let us know in the comments! 🗣️
