🚨 Dramatic sea rescue alert! 🚤 Five people found themselves in quite the predicament after getting cut off by the tide at Lavernock Point, but thanks to some quick-thinking locals and the brilliant team at Penarth RNLI, they’re now safe and sound!

It all kicked off around 6:40 pm on 14th June. A group of adventurous jet skiers spotted the stranded group and didn’t hesitate to raise the alarm with the coastguard. With the tide rising and the beach rapidly disappearing, two lifeboats were swiftly dispatched to the rescue, extracting the five casualties just in time.

As it stands, tidal ranges are on the rise around Penarth, so if you’re planning a coastal adventure, make sure to check those tide times and give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the stunning Welsh coastline without a hitch.

Kudos to the vigilant jet skiers and our dedicated RNLI volunteers for turning what could have been a disastrous situation into one with a happy ending. 🙌 Stay safe out there, folks! 🏖️
