This fake profile was cleverly operated by a child abuse activist group, capturing every disturbing message. Cardiff Crown Court heard how Thomas was aware “Ava” claimed to be only 13. Yet, he continued his vile conversation unabashed, even requesting intimate photos and suggesting despicable acts.

On May 4th, the group “Dank Dragon” confronted him outside his home in a dramatic live-streamed event on Facebook, forcing him to face the consequences. The police soon stepped in, and Thomas was arrested.

Thomas, already with a past conviction, was sentenced to a 12-month imprisonment suspended for 18 months. Additionally, he’s required to attend programmes aiming to reduce future risks and was handed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Due to his actions, he’s also had to leave his family home and now faces a future under the watchful eyes of the law.

This case serves as a grim reminder of the lurking dangers online and the crucial work done by activist groups to keep our children safe. Let’s continue to support efforts to expose those who prey on the vulnerable. Stay aware, stay safe, and always report suspicious activity. 🚨 #ProtectOurChildren #JusticeServed #StaySafeOnline
