Over the weekend, cyclists in Hailey Park were harassed, with one woman sharing her terrifying experience of being kicked off her bike. She sustained minor injuries but was thankful for her helmet and the help of bystanders. Meanwhile, a motorist had his keys snatched as he got out of his car near Llandaff train station.

On top of this, Cardiff Councillor Helen Lloyd Jones issued a warning on Facebook after two robberies were reported in just one day. 😟

Witnesses are raising concerns about the escalating danger, noting not only the attacks but the reckless speed at which these riders tear through the area. The Taff Trail, a once-popular walking and cycling path, now feels unsafe with these incidents happening more frequently.

Despite the worry, South Wales Police are actively working to curb the chaos. Inspector Tim Ursell assures that efforts to seize illegal e-bikes and scooters are ongoing, with over 700 impounded since last summer. Officers, both in uniform and plain clothes, are stepping up their patrols to keep Cardiff safe. 🚓

Let’s keep our community safe and look out for each other. If you have any information, reach out to the authorities and let’s bring these culprits to justice.

Be cautious out there, Cardiff! 🌟
