Exciting changes coming to Neath Port Talbot! A former residential property on New Road, Neath Abbey is set to be transformed into a six-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO). Approved by the local council, this plan is part of a growing trend of shared accommodation projects in the area.
The property will be revamped to host six bedrooms across three floors, complete with kitchens and living areas on the lower ground floor. Bathrooms will be located on the ground and first floors, and an en suite will grace the second-floor bedroom. Despite these changes, the building’s footprint will remain the same.
This development, limited to six occupants, comes amidst a backdrop of other housing projects in the region. In fact, another recent application for a five-bedroom HMO in Briton Ferry was given the green light following an appeal.
