Guess who’s popping up on ITV’s World Cup coverage tonight? It’s none other than Gary Lineker! 🏆⚽️
Football enthusiasts might be used to seeing Gary on the BBC, but he’s making a special guest appearance for tonight’s Germany v Ivory Coast clash. It’s his first time back on terrestrial TV since his big exit from the BBC last year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! 🎉
Gary, who’s been busy in New York with his hit podcast “The Rest Is Football” alongside Alan Shearer and Micah Richards, is taking a break from the Big Apple to join ITV’s punditry team. With ITV broadcasting from Brooklyn, it’s the perfect setup for Gary’s much-anticipated return.
Why the switch? Well, Gary wasn’t shy about criticising the BBC’s choice to broadcast the World Cup from Salford instead of soaking up the electric atmosphere across the pond. But now, he’s back in action with ITV, adding his insights to one of football’s biggest stages.
Don’t miss out! Catch this iconic moment as one of football’s most recognisable voices joins a rival channel for a one-off experience. Lineker’s appearance is sure to be a highlight of the tournament coverage so far, so grab your spot on the sofa and get ready for some top-notch football commentary. 📺⚽️
