🚨 Community Rally After Unauthorised Camp Leaves Trail at Litchard Fields! 🚨
Last week, the Litchard sports fields in Bridgend became an unexpected campsite, leaving local folks frustrated. Around 13 caravans set up an illegal camp and, after a five-day stay, left behind quite the mess, including something very unpleasant in the children’s play area. 😧
While the scene was disheartening, the response from residents and the council was anything but! Bridgend Council sprang into action, serving legal notices and organising a thorough clean-up operation as soon as the group departed. 🌱 Community spirit shone brightly as locals pitched in alongside the council to clear up rubbish and restore the fields.
Local football team members shared shocking images of dirty toilet paper and burn marks from barbecues scattered across their much-loved playing grounds. Litchard FC, along with local sports teams and families, expressed their gratitude for the swift restoration efforts, ensuring the pitches will be all set for the new season. ⚽
Thanks to the hard work of Bridgend Council and the selfless volunteers, the children’s play area is set to reopen soon, with the entire field nearly back to its pristine glory. 👏
The past few days have highlighted the resilience and unity of the Litchard community, proving that when challenges arise, so does their collective strength. Let’s hear it for everyone who lent a hand to reclaim our beloved community space!
Stay tuned for updates, and here’s to seeing Litchard fields full of life and laughter once again. 🌟
