🌞 **Heatwave Alert in South Wales!** 🌞
Heads up, South Wales! We’ve got a scorching heatwave on the horizon, with temperatures soaring up to a sizzling 38°C. As a red weather warning is in place for Wednesday and Thursday, we’ve got some temporary closures you should know about.
Tennis fans, listen up! 🎾 Tennis Wales in the Park has decided to shut down their courts in Cardiff, Swansea, and the Vale of Glamorgan to keep everyone safe during these extreme conditions. 🌡️
Why the shutdown, you ask? Well, aside from the health and safety risks the heat poses, the hot temperatures can also damage the new court surfaces – not ideal for a game of tennis! So, if you’ve got a booking, expect a full refund.
For those planning any kind of travel or outdoor activities, it’s best to reconsider and stay cool indoors. The weather alert covers wider areas including Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, and many more.
🔺 **Important Reminder**: A red warning signifies dangerously hot weather conditions, potential property damage, and risks to life. Take this seriously and look out for yourselves and others. Stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary travel.
Stay tuned for updates and keep those fans and air-con units on full blast! 💦 Stay safe, South Wales!
