Breaking: Justice for Joanne Penney! The final day of sentencing is here for the six individuals involved in the tragic murder of the 40-year-old who was shot at point-blank range last year in Talbot Green. Joanne tragically lost her life after the bullet penetrated her heart and lung.

Marcus Huntley, 21, admitted to pulling the trigger. However, he wasn’t acting alone. Jordan Mills-Smith, 34, Joshua Gordon, 28, Kristina Ginova, 22, and Melissa Quailey-Dashper, 40, were also found guilty of the murder. Meanwhile, convicted murderer Renaldo Baptiste, 39, orchestrated the crime from his prison cell, adding to his existing life sentence for a previous murder.

This tragic case stems from a clash between rival organised crime groups. Joshua Gordon’s attempt to expand the “Rico” group’s activities into South Wales was met with hostility by a rival group led by Daniel Joseph, known as “Jimmy.” This conflict escalated, culminating in the shocking murder of Joanne.
The court has heard how defendants planned to obtain a firearm and ammunition, aiming to “send a message” to their rivals. On the fateful day, Melissa Quailey-Dashper knocked on Joanne’s door, setting the stage for the tragic events that followed.
Each defendant played a part in Joanne’s death, knowing the severity of their actions. Today, Mr Justice Fordham takes the bench to deliver justice and hand down sentences to these individuals.
As the proceedings continue, our thoughts are with Joanne’s family. They deserve peace and closure. Stay tuned for updates on this significant case.
