🐾 Attention garden lovers! 🏡 With the warm weather upon us, here’s a crucial reminder from the RSPCA: keep an eye on your sheds and greenhouses! 🌞
Cats often sneak into these cosy spots, but they can easily get trapped and suffer in the heat. Remember to double-check before you close the door to avoid any furry friends getting stuck inside.
🔥 Did you know? Temperatures can skyrocket to a deadly 47°C in enclosed spaces like cars, conservatories, and outbuildings. Always avoid leaving animals in these spots, even for a short period.
To all the cat parents out there, ensuring a cool environment is key. Keep windows open safely to let in a breeze and make sure there’s always fresh water available. Adding ice cubes to their bowl or creating icy treats can help keep hydration and fun going strong.
🐱 Be vigilant for signs of heatstroke, such as confusion, drooling, or panting. Speak to your vet immediately if you sense anything off about your cat’s health.
While this guidance is valuable throughout the year, it’s especially vital now with the Met Office Extreme Heat warnings in effect for many areas across England and Wales. Keep your four-legged family members safe and enjoy the summer securely! ☀️
