🚧 Major Disruption in Cardiff! 🚧
If you were caught up in the chaos, you’re definitely not alone. The usually busy Leckwith Road turned into a gridlock nightmare on Thursday evening as an accident brought traffic to a standstill. This happened just as thousands of McFly fans were flocking to Cardiff Castle for an eagerly anticipated concert. Plus, with Cardiff temperatures soaring to a sizzling 35°C, it was peak chaos on the roads. 🌡️🎶
Here’s what went down: Around 5pm on June 25th, both directions of Leckwith Road were shut down. The traffic congestion stretched from Leckwith Interchange all the way to The Green. South Wales Police were on the scene quickly and released a statement advising motorists to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
Thankfully, the road was reopened shortly after, but the traffic remained sluggish for quite some time. To all those who had to endure the heat and the delay, hope you’re staying cool and hydrated! 💧☀️
