Ryan Reynolds is feeling “honoured and grateful” as Wrexham bids an emotional farewell to striker Paul Mullin. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Reynolds couldn’t praise Mullin enough for his incredible impact on and off the pitch. He described Mullin as a player who “changed Wrexham and changed all of us.”

Mullin’s contract was mutually terminated, marking the end of a phenomenal chapter at Wrexham AFC. His time at the club was filled with unforgettable goals and match-winning moments, making him a fan favourite at the Racecourse Ground.

Reynolds highlighted Mullin’s relentless drive and knack for delivering when it counted, saying, “Every day at Wrexham, on and off the pitch, Paul set the standard for courage, for tenacity, for humanity.” Mullin wasn’t just a star player; he was Wrexham’s Superman, giving hope to the team, the town, and beyond.
In a touching nod to their bond, Reynolds even gave Mullin a role in one of his hit Deadpool movies. Mullin’s presence has been pivotal in the club’s rise under Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, scoring 110 goals in 172 appearances and becoming an icon of the modern Wrexham era.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson also shared his best wishes, acknowledging the monumental role Mullin played in Wrexham’s history. Mullin, who won three consecutive player of the season awards, leaves as the club’s ninth-highest goal scorer.
