Alan’s life story is filled with extraordinary achievements. From serving in the RAF during the Suez Crisis to falling in love with his wife, Esme, in Egypt, his journey is a testament to dedication and love. Upon returning to Cardiff in the 1950s, he joined Cardiff City Police and climbed the ranks, eventually helping to oversee the creation of the South Wales Police.

But Alan wasn’t just about policing; he believed in the power of education.
