🎾 Exciting news for tennis fans! Emma Raducanu is planning to take the court at Wimbledon despite battling a nagging shin issue. After being spotted in a protective boot and missing training sessions earlier this week, the British No.1 confirmed in a live press conference that she’s aiming to play her first-round match against Croatia’s Antonia Ruzic on Monday.

Emma shared, “The plan right now is to play. I’m going to do everything with my team in terms of treatment.” While she couldn’t give a definite percentage on her chances, she’s been dealing with this “niggle” for about a month.

Raducanu returned for practice at the All England Club over the weekend, managing light sessions and carefully testing her fitness. This injury scare surfaces just as she was gaining momentum on grass, reaching the Queen’s Club final earlier in June. After a season filled with interruptions, fans were hopeful for another deep Wimbledon run, reminiscent of her US Open success in 2021.
For now, it’s all eyes on Emma as she readies herself for what promises to be an electrifying Wimbledon campaign. Fingers crossed we’ll see her dazzling on the court once more! 🍀💪 #Wimbledon #EmmaRaducanu #TennisUpdates
